Lead Online Retail Growth as an E-commerce Manager at Proten

Proten is recruiting an experienced E-commerce Manager in Gbagada, Lagos. The role offers ₦400,000–₦500,000 monthly and requires 3–5 years of experience managing online sales, digital marketing, e-commerce platforms, customer experience, and revenue growth.

Proten is seeking a commercially driven E-commerce Manager to take ownership of an online retail operation and improve its overall performance.

The successful candidate will shape the company’s e-commerce strategy, manage its online platforms, strengthen the customer journey, and use sales data to increase conversions, retention, and revenue. This role requires someone who understands digital marketing, online merchandising, marketplace operations, and the day-to-day demands of running a high-performing e-commerce business.

You will also collaborate with marketing, procurement, technology, and operations teams while guiding the e-commerce team toward clearly defined business targets.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute strategies that increase online sales and revenue.
* Manage e-commerce platforms and ensure a smooth customer experience.
* Improve product listings, pricing, merchandising, and inventory visibility.
* Run and monitor digital campaigns across SEO, Google Ads, promotions, and marketplaces.
* Analyze website traffic, customer behaviour, conversion rates, and sales performance.
* Identify opportunities to improve customer retention and average order value.
* Coordinate with internal departments and external digital partners.
* Resolve online customer issues and maintain high service standards.
* Prepare performance reports and recommend data-backed improvements.
* Lead and support the e-commerce team.

Requirements

* 3–5 years of experience as an E-commerce Manager or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of online retail operations and digital marketing.
* Practical experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO, and online marketplaces.
* Knowledge of website management, inventory systems, and online merchandising.
* Strong analytical, commercial, leadership, and project-management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and e-commerce reporting tools.
* Professional certification in e-commerce or digital marketing is an advantage.
